International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the progress that has been made towards gender equality, as well as a day to reflect on the challenges that still remain and to recommit to creating a more equal and just world for women and girls everywhere. What better way to celebrate than meeting some new friends with some speed friending.
Sydneyeventsthingstodo.com is excited to announce a special International Women’s Day Speed Friending Dinner Event in Sydney! This is your chance to build a strong support system with other women. By connecting and exchanging stories, you can foster relationships that are both meaningful and empowering. Together, we can create a more inclusive atmosphere and encourage one another to be our best selves. It would be great to have your presence and contribution at the gathering.

Enzo together with Sam & Renee Russo have come together to create an environment that is perfect for any special occasion in addition to your everyday dining. Enzo’s Cucina Dural creates homemade Italian food from the freshest ingredients, in a cozy, family-friendly environment.
What is speed friending?
Speed friending is similar to speed dating, but instead of focusing on romantic connections, it focuses on building new friendships. Participants attend an event and engage in short, several minute long conversations with other attendees to get to know them better and potentially make new friends. Like speed dating, the goal of speed friending is to meet as many people as possible in a short amount of time, and participants typically sign up in advance to attend. Speed friending events are often organized by social clubs, community organizations, or events planning companies, and can be a fun and efficient way for people to expand their social circle and make new friends.
How speed friending works:
Seated at a table, you will talk to a person for 8 minutes. Once the 8 minutes are up, you will move to the next person to talk to. We will have several rounds of speed friending. You are welcome to exchange contact details with the other person during the speed friending.
On IWD, we can show our appreciation for the accomplishments of female leaders and role models and use the day as an opportunity to take action to drive greater gender equality. By joining forces, we can promote equity and make International Women’s Day 2023 a platform to motivate and empower women in all aspects of life.
